tea3Sometimes I drink other type of tea. 1. Jasmine Dragon Pearl; 2. Gold Xuan (金萱); 3. High mountain Taiwan Oolong.

All were from my last visit to Taiwan. Dragon Pearl blossom inside the hot water in the tea cup beautifully and gracefully; Gold Xuan was said drank by high society ancient Chinese ladies; Oolong is a famous type which is half green half black, tasting closer to green, but with its own special flavors. South China province - Fujian is famous for its Oolong tea. Taiwan is an island next to Fujian. Taiwanese Oolong is very popular is Japan. The higher the mountain, the better the Oolong. Taiwan's most famous mountain is Ar Li Mountain, there are many tea producers based in Ar Li. However the Oolong I got shown in image3 is from Da You Moutain, which is higher than even Ar Li Mountain.

There is an interesting Oolong type from Fujian called Cliff tea - Da Hong Pao, which is very very expensive and rare, formerly normally consumed by Chinese Leaders, like Deng.
