These were the last performance of my Nikon D90 and Nikon 50mm f 1.8 D, before I sold them for Nikon D7000 and 50mm f 1.8 G.
It was annual Vivid Sydney light show near Circular Quay and Rocks.

See the lighter edges of the bokeh of 50mm f 1.8 D, which is said to be not a good thing.
See the legendary sharpness of Nikon 50mm f 1.8 D, compare to many Vivid Sydney Opera House shots taken with other lenses, say Nikon 18-200mm VR II, for instance. Nikon 18-200mm is never a good lens to take at night anyways.
This last one was taken with Olympus E-PL1 with Olympus 9-18mm (eqiv 18-36mm in 35mm film).
